Bring water, work gloves & sturdy boots. Sometimes there is power equipment being used, so it’s also good to bring ear protection, safety eyewear, and other safety gear.  Watch emails for information about other tools to bring (we often use loppers).

Hunting Information

You can earn a hunting pass by volunteering at our monthly work days.

Volunteer hours accumulate from August 1st – July 31st.  You need at least 9 hours of volunteer time to earn a hunting pass for the fall hunting season, following the July 31st cut off date.  The Archery permits are currently full, but there are openings for deer gun passes.

Names and hours are recorded for each work day, but hunters should keep track of their hours, in case there are any questions (date, hours, what they did).

In late August there is a meeting for archery & small game hunting – to pass out permits.  In November there is a meeting for deer hunting – to pass out permits and sometimes there is a guest speaker.

The hunting committee sends out a newsletter in the fall.
