Northome Films created a YouTube video about the Engelwood Ski Area. It operated from the 1950s to the late 60’s, and now is part of the Standing Cedars Land Conservancy, on the south end of the Engelwood property. With expansive, and challenging terrain, it must have been a gem to ski in its heyday. Remnants of the old ski area rope tows are still in abundance throughout the property even as the forest slowly reclaims the runs.
